About CSC

The Consortium for Strategic Communication (CSC) is an initiative of the Hugh Downs School of Human Communication in cooperation with the File and Media Studies Program at Arizona State University. It is composed of an interdisciplinary group of scholars at ASU and partner institutions who are interested in applying knowledge of human communication to issues of countering ideological support for terrorism (CIST), diplomacy and public diplomacy.

Our team consists of experts on communication networks, new media, narrative and rhetorical analyses of messages, persuasion, intercultural communication, organizational studies, and religious studies. We have an active research program featuring public lectures, undergraduate and graduate courses, this website and an online journal and blog.
